www.kinderpostzegels.nl) has organised the Stop Child Labour tour in Africa.
Five African countriesThe Stop Child Labour tour has been visiting five African countries; Morocco, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Uganda and Kenya from October 8th till November 6th 2008. During the Africa Tour, a delegation of three representatives from Southern partner organizations - MVF (India), Asamaan (Nepal) and SNE (Morocco) - engaged in field visits, exchanged meetings and workshops with local NGOs and trade unions, government bodies and international organizations involved in children's rights programmes.
Sharing experiences & best practicesBy doing so, experiences and best practices were shared, possible cooperation considered and input for further lobbying and awareness raising activities were provided.
The purpose of the Stop Child Labour Africa Tour 2008The
overall purpose of the Stop Child Labour Africa Tour 2008 was to strengthen the world-wide movement against child labour and for education for all. The
specific objective is to bring together different people working on the linked issues of child labour and education to share experiences and best practices, to consider possible coalitions and to provide input for further lobbying and awareness raising activities in Europe.
